UniCredit Leasing is positioned for the second consecutive year as the leading player of the European leasing market with a total of EUR 12,7 bn for New Business within Europe.
 

The top 20 parent and stand alone companies listed in the ranking accounted for nearly 40% of the value of new contracts granted in 2008 on the entire European market.

These elements remain part of the company’s strategy together with UniCredit Leasing’s steady commitment in supporting the SME-s (small and medium-sized enterprises). For the next few years, UniCredit Leasing will strictly focus on developing the cross-border dimension and paying increased attention to the customer.
 

The Leaseurope Ranking is carried out on the basis of data collected from companies located in 25 different countries and includes both EU and non-EU member states. The leasing firms are members of the 47 member associations of Leaseurope, which in turn represent over 2,500 leasing companies accounting for approximately 96% of the entire European leasing market in 2008. According to Leaseurope’s 2008 Annual Statistical Enquiry, Total New Business volumes in Europe reached EUR 330 bn.
